Ecological Risk Assessment and Productivity & Susceptibility Analysis

The Ocean Protection Council provided a grant to the California Ocean Science Trust to conduct an Ecological Risk Assessment and Productivity and Susceptibility Analysis as prioritization tools to support California fisheries management. This $135,000 project was approved for funding by the Council per the staff recommendation from the OPC meeting on July 29, 2015.

The Ecological Risk Assessment (ERA) as a Prioritization Tool to Support California Fisheries Management report is finalized and available here. The Productivity and Susceptibility Analysis for Selected California Fisheries report was led by MRAG Americas and is available here. Additional information and data from the ERA report may be found on the OST webpage.

This project was developed for consideration by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) to help inform the state’s process to amend the Marine Life Management Act (MLMA) Master Plan. All final products from this project were submitted to CDFW for review and may be integrated, in full or in part, into a draft Master Plan Amendment. Additional information about the amendment process, including key resources and opportunities for stakeholder engagement, is available here.
